Easy installation and onboarding with Trivec by Caspeco
Malmstens Fisk started in 2010 and is owned by Erik Malmsten and his brother. The fish restaurant and fish shop are located inside the market hall in the heart of Lund, with a festive oyster feast every Friday. It’s a venerable, buzzing meeting place that has attracted several generations for years.

Bar Beckasin is also on site — a smaller restaurant and bar serving both fish and meat with care and love.
Easy to get started
The fish shop sells everything from fish to Spanish delicacies like olive oils and books. With a Trivec scanner in the shop and a POS, the barcode is scanned easily and the item is registered instantly. With an integrated scale, prices for weighed products go straight into the POS. It’s customised for Malmstens Fisk and makes for a smooth way of working. Erik also highlights how easy Trivec is to work with: it’s simple to add products and create sub-categories. When Malmstens set everything up, they received a lot of support from Trivec right from the start.
We got excellent help during onboarding; everything felt safe and we got up and running with the system quickly, says Erik Malmsten.
User-friendly for shop, restaurant, and outdoor seating
In addition to the more upscale fish restaurant equipped with a full Trivec POS, there’s Bar Beckasin, a smaller sit-down restaurant with both fish and meat and a great bar vibe indoors and out. With order printers on the ground floor and in the basement, the kitchen receives orders smoothly. For Bar Beckasin, a Trivec Go tablet works perfectly in the bar. The service staff enter orders directly in the POS for a seamless flow.
On the outdoor terrace they use HandyPay for ordering and payment; staff don’t have to run back and forth to the POS. They can place orders, pull up tables in HandyPay, and take payment on the spot.
The system is very user-friendly; the staff learn how everything works quickly, Erik explains.
